Rear Window was a great movie in my opinion. For its time I think it was highly advanced in the aspect of camera angles and even the special effects. At first, I could not get into this movie because of how old it was and how slow of a start it had. It can be hard for me to watch older movies because of how advanced we are now in technology, but this one did keep my attention.
One of my favorite scenes from this movie is when Lisa came over to stay the night with Jefferies. I think there was a lot of character development for bath characters in this scene. It showed the audience how much Lisa cared about Jeffries, but it also should Jeffries how much she cared. She was willing to go along with his crazy story of a killer across the street just to be with him and I think at this point he realized that.
Shortly after watching this movie, I watched the movie Disturbia. I have seen this movie before, but didn't know that it was a different version of Rear Window. It follows the same story of someone being stuck inside their home and only being able to look out of their windows to entertain themselves. This story also has a character like Lisa and Lars and follow similar roles. I think this movie does a create job paying respects to the original version, but also doing it in a different way. It keeps the same suspense which makes it a great watch.
